Sheepadoodle Generations
There are different generations of Sheepadoodles. We raise F1 and F1b Sheepadoodles.
-F1 Sheepadoodle: First Generation Sheepadoodles are the crossing of an Old English Sheepdog with a Poodle. These Sheepadoodles are approximately 50% Old English Sheepdog and approximately 50% Poodle.
-F1b Sheepadoodle: First Generation Backcross (F1b) Sheepadoodles are the crossing of the First Generation Sheepadoodle (F1) with a Poodle. This crossing results in more of the poodle coat and is non-shedding and great for those with severe allergies. F1b Sheepadoodles are approximately 25% Old English Sheepdog and approximately 75% Poodle.
Sheepadoodle Temperament
Sheepadoodles are known for being sweet, playful, affectionate and very intelligent. They have the hard working, gentle, easy going traits from the Sheepdog and the intelligent, playful traits from the Poodle. They are super easy to train and are very good with children and other pets.
Sheepadoodle Colors
The main colors of Sheepadoodles are Black/White, White/Black(Parti), and Blue Merle. These will be our typical colors. Blue Merle is a genetic pattern that causes patches of colors on a dog's coat.
Sheepadoodle Sizes
There can be an array of sizes of Sheepadoodles depending on the size of their parents. Our minis will range in size from 25 to 40 pounds depending on the size of the mom and dad that are crossed. Our standard size sheepadoodles that will range from 50-75 pounds.
